Light moves through

Rail Yard

I love trains, and I love how large their presence looms here. Sometime I’ll do a proper essay, for now a quick leap from standing on rails to a high overlook of the yard.

  1. You really did a great set for rail and trains… I love them too dear Noel. The first photograph fascinated me so much… And also the last two… Thank you, with my love, nia

There are bluffs above the yard so that’s where I used my telephoto. But I cannot wait to get down in the yard, I’m really hoping to finagle a press tour or something.

  5. Oh, I love these images. Especially the first one with the sun play. Great catch there, and the others. I wish I had such a train yard where I live.

Thanks Katie – sun play, I like that. The Santa Fe train station has a great feel, I snapped a couple pics when I was passing through on the train autumn before last, but yes, not the biggest yard I’ve ever seen. 🙂
