You wander out into the world to study the play of light and form, light that falls and light that emanates, flashes and burns low. You carry a lens with which to perceive, to frame and draw out, to choose your angle of imagining. You have the moment of a sunrise, the afternoon of a tree, or the movement and repose of another person.
I’m grateful to the people who have worked with me, holding poses and holding them some more, holding the light that falls on them, and offering another light in return.
Below are just a few of the images we’ve found working together.
Photos from this summer in Olympic National Park, Seattle, Vancouver; traveling by foot, by car, by ferry, by train, always by water. Such a wonderful place of water.
