Light moves through

Darkening Garden

These photos were taken at Portland’s Japanese Garden on an overcast summer day. Such a meditative place asks for a meditative mind to look through a meditative eye, something I couldn’t fully achieve with the constraint of time and the rush of fellow consumptive visitors. I could spend a day just watching and photographing the koi.

  1. WOW! These are so beautiful photographs dear Noel. Especially the first one, I loved it so much. The colour of violet so impressive even on the stones too…. and the reflections too… I am impressed. Thank you, with my love, nia

I’ve come to realize that I check this site when I feel a need for peace, connection, nature, maybe even the sense of being transported *elsewhere* for awhile… Thanks for that. These shots are exquisite. As are the others, of course.

So kind Kalin, thank you. I’m glad those things find their way through all these filters and frames and opening eyes.

Nice to see you Gaby, thank you for your kind words. Isn’t wonderful to find moments of beauty, hold them, and then pass them on again?
